This privacy policy applies to the PromiseKeeper app (hereby referred to as “Application”) for mobile devices that was created by Y/A (hereby referred to as “Service Provider”) as a Free service. This service is intended for use “AS IS”.

Select existing photos from your gallery to add to promises

Your Control: Photos you add to promises are stored only on your device as part of the promise data. We never upload, access, or store your photos on any server. You have complete control over which photos to attach, and you can remove them at any time.

The Application uses notifications to:

Remind you of upcoming promise deadlines

Provide helpful prompts to keep you on track with your commitments

You can enable or disable notifications at any time through your device settings. All notification scheduling happens locally on your device.

The Application uses minimal third-party services to provide functionality and support the free app through advertising.

The Application displays advertisements through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect certain information to provide relevant ads and measure ad performance.

Your Device, Your Data: All your promises and personal information are stored using your device’s secure storage mechanisms. This means:

No one can access your promises without access to your unlocked device
We never transmit your personal data over the internet

6.2 Best Practices

Device Protection: Keep your device locked with a strong passcode or biometric authentication
Regular Backups: Use your device’s backup features (iCloud, Google Drive) to prevent data loss
App Updates: Keep the Application updated to benefit from the latest security improvements

While we implement security best practices, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure. Since your data stays on your device, you are ultimately in control of its security.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

7.1 Data Retention

Your promises and personal data remain on your device for as long as you keep them in the Application. You have complete control over this data.

7.2 Deleting Your Data

You can delete your data at any time by:

Individual Promises: Delete specific promises within the app
All Data: Uninstall the Application, which will remove all local data
App Settings: Use the “Clear All Data” option in the app settings (if available)

Important: Since your data is stored locally, deleting the app or clearing data will permanently remove all your promises. Make sure to back up any important information before deletion.

8. Opt-Out Rights

You have complete control over your use of the Application:

8.1 Stop Using the Application

You can stop all data collection by uninstalling the Application. You may use the standard uninstall processes available on your mobile device or via the app store.

How to Uninstall:

Android: Go to Settings > Apps > PromiseKeeper > Uninstall
iOS: Long press the app icon and select “Remove App”

8.2 Disable Permissions

You can disable specific permissions at any time through your device settings:

Camera/Photos: You won’t be able to attach photos to promises
Notifications: You won’t receive reminder notifications

The core functionality of tracking promises will still work even if you disable these permissions.

9. Children’s Privacy

The Application is suitable for users of all ages. However, we take children’s privacy seriously.

The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone. Since the app does not require account creation and stores all data locally on the device, there is no collection of personal information from users of any age.
